The Last Doctor

I decided to revisit this idea I had for the final incarnation of the Doctor. I was quite disappointed with the 50th anniversary episode, but the previously broadcast 'An Adventure in Space and Time' by Mark Gatiss awakened in me an interest for the original adventures of the Doctor.
Anywho, here again is my child Doctor and the good Dalek Nau, along with non-camouflaged, coral-like TARDIS in the background. TF

lol

I missed the 50th thing (on purpose) and have heard lots of critical things about it. Sadly I've found the few episodes I have caught to be deeply, deeply disappointing.

Yeah, I have grown increasingly disillusioned with it, to the point where I'm actually eager to see how the next Doctor will fair (and I really liked Smith in the role to begin with). There's no sinister or magical mystery left in this new DW, it seems, especially compared to the original series. Only frantic, emotionally unstable man-children and two-dimensional female characters. I'm fine with childish wonder, but at least let there be actual children involved... otherwise it's just embarrassing.

Dr Who used to fascinate me. It used to raise so many questions about the Universe it no doubt added to the curiosity that drove me to have a scientific view of things and spend most of my formative years with my nose in various books.

The Tom Baker Dr Who is still a particular hero of mine. It helped that he had two of my all time favourite companions but that was only part of the attraction...
