Oh ye gods what the heck

21 and still watching cartoon network

Man oh man, what a long and uneventful period it has been here on this blog that I have.

I have been drawing, don't get me wrong. It's just I'm afraid of posting most of my work here as it might spoil the surprise if I decide to publish it a-la professional-type webcomic.

Other things I have been doodling lately have been crude doodles and things, some of which I shall post here because otherwise I'm worried this blog will die. Ok, maybe that's a tad too dramatic. Maybe just slip into a coma.

At least it wasn't a face-hugger

Anyway, these days I'm trying to concentrate as much as possible on:

A) finishing my dissertation. It's going ok so far, but I'm worried that if I don't write something each day I'll run out of time (it's due in on the first of May)

B) spending time with family and friends. I'm not going to be back here in Italy until August so I really want to make the most of home while I'm here.

C) Getting rid of this damn eczema on my fingers!!

Jessica Ahlquist is awesome

Some random news:
I've recently discovered Adventure Time! and Regular Show. I find both very enjoyable for different reasons.

I've also got a lot of weird random emotional nonsense whirling around in my head, confusing matters further, but that's too much to get in to right now (it's nearly bed time, you know).

So yeah, sorry for the lack of stuff... er, again.
I'm really bad at this.

Superhero of the Month: Birds of Prey!

My entry for Superhero of the Month's latest contest: Birds of Prey

Misfit: Tried a more serious but still slightly fun-loving approach. I love the idea of a super-powered fan-girl, and decided to incorporate various of her fellow Birds' costume elements into Charlie's costume, as a kind of tribute to them.

Oracle: Or rather, an 'Oracle-bot'. This interpretation of Barbara Gordon still oversees things from afar, but also likes to intervene virtually via a cerebral link to her own robot, who can provide on-field support to her fellow Birds during a fight or investigation. Not sure if this was ever tried in the comics, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway.

Manhunter: Added more jagged almost skeletal or plate-looking armour and a metal mask to make her look more cold and intimidating. I just figured it might fit well.

Oh dear

Well, posts have been few and far between lately haven't they?

It's mainly because of university work and dissertation writing, I'm afraid.

Also, to my shame, I've been pimping myself out on facebook recently. Mainly doing pictures for friends at uni, who otherwise would have no idea where to find my stuff. So yeah, been hanging around evilbook for a while. I guess the bright side is that at least 100 or so people at uni now know I can draw pretty darn purdy.

Anyway, to those people who still read this blog and are dismayed by my lack of substantial updates, do not despair.

First, I am working on a comic again. After what seems like too long, I've ditched animation for a while and focused on comix again (Sensei Rowntree will be pleased). Expect stuff for that coming soon.

I'll also have regular-ish stuff for the Wessex scene and other projects coming along soon.

Blaaaah, etc.
